How to Pixelate an Image

What Is an Image Pixelator?

This tool pixelates images. It can pixelate the entire image or any section. Drag to adjust the region or type exact coordinates and dimensions, and set Pixel Size to tune intensity. Everything is processed locally in your browser. When finished, download PNG/JPEG/WebP or copy to clipboard.

Option A — Redaction (selective)

1. Open the demo and upload your image.
2. Switch to the Redaction tab (or use the Redaction link in the header).
3. Drag on the preview canvas to select a region.
4. Choose Pixelate, Blur, or Solid Mask and adjust the controls.
5. Export as PNG/JPEG/WebP — EXIF metadata is removed automatically.

Option B — Pixel Art (full image)

1. Open the demo and upload your image.
2. Keep the Pixel Art tab active.
3. Adjust the Pixel Size slider or type an exact value.
4. Download your pixelated image.

Tips

• Processing is 100% local and private. Your images never leave your device.
• Large images may render slower on low-end devices — try a smaller pixel size first.
